We have launched our official note as a place to share how we think at Calaris and who the people behind it are. Our first piece is a two-part interview with Representative Director and CEO Shohei Kishiya on the background to founding the company.
The first part covers the unease he felt about evaluating people largely through readily visible signals such as academic background and job titles, and the structural constraints he came to see from the hiring side. The second part turns to what dialogue means in a selection process, and to what we call Caliber — the essential capability of a person that credentials alone cannot capture.
