Frames the growth question independently and checks assumptions as they go
The candidate split revenue into the number of groups and spend per group, and reasoned independently that the room to grow lies in the empty weekdays and winter, not the already-full weekends and summer. They called the weekday guest profile a hypothesis and set out how to test it.
On actions, they worked from the constraint of thin weekday staffing and explained, unprompted, the idea of keeping tents pitched on only some sites. Asked what would change if winter were empty for another reason, they shifted the focus of their actions. The estimate was rough; how they ground assumptions has room to grow.
